Nice to meet you!
I’m Emily Frisan, a recent graduate interested in the intersection of food, media, and geography.
Who am I?
I am a results-oriented early career professional who finds satisfaction in understanding the human-environment relationships between food systems, urban development, and society, while practicing science communication. My professional research delves into food insecurity and the equity of health that resulted in research projects ranging from socioeconomic inequalities of farmers market and the depletion of indigenous foodways.
I have four years of experience working in social media, marketing, and production, with long-term plans to look at advancing geography in high school and higher education institutions, and to advance food literacy across numerous socioeconomic groups.
If you’re looking for someone passionate about geography and content creation, I’m always looking for projects. Feel free to contact me at anytime. You can also check out my portfolio and blog for more samples of my work.
