How I grocery shop
Before I leave:
- Check out the pantry before I leave. What do or don’t I have? What do I want?
- Do a quick clean-out before leaving. Empty out all bad tuber ware containers and expired food.
- Prep storage containers for produce. It keeps the products fresher for longer.
- Look at Pinterest and cookbooks for recipe inspiration. Food is a chance to be creative.
- Eat a small snack or meal. I try not to shop hungry!

I always grab a couple of quick meals from the frozen sections! Sometimes cooking is too much of an emotional toll.
I want to create healthy meals that aren’t restricting, are cost-effective and are full of balance & nutrients. Food makes me happy and I want to keep it this way. Practicing balance in grocery shopping is the best way to integrate everything I desire into my lifestyle!
